This is a photo of the light from a street lamp shining through the branches of a shrub. I converted the picture to black and white to put more emphasis on the light. Interestingly, the word "photography" in Greek means "drawing with light."

This is a manipulated, panoramic photo of my feet. Honestly, I can't remember the specific alterations I made to achieve this effect; I basically just clicked some random buttons.

I took this photo of the covered bridge in Woodstock last night - Woodstock, VT

I took this photo at the Tunbridge World's Fair this year. I recognize that it is slightly random but I just felt like including it. It's one of my only posted photos with people in it; I very rarely take photos of people, although I'd like to try taking some. Are there genres of photography you'd like to see posted that I haven't included yet (like people or action, for example)? If so, leave a comment below.

I took this self-portrait yesterday. It's my shadow projected onto a wall in my hallway by the light of the setting sun. This photo is not manipulated in any way. I don't really like to manipulate photos 1) because I think it detracts from the image 2) because I don't have photoshop 3) because I've never actually learned how to successfully manipulate photos. I may post a few altered photos and if I do I'll make a note that they have been changed.

This is a macro (super close-up) photo of incense holders with a dusting of incense ash around them. To give some perspective, the yellow holder is only about an inch wide. I'm quite fond of the light in this photo. -Woodstock, VT
